The One New Man Collection was created with the intention of standing resolutely with Israel, especially in prayer. It is based on Ephesians 2:12-16

The word Shema (or Sh'ma) means "to hear," and it forms the foundation of Jewish faith and life. This prayer, a mix of verses from Deuteronomy and Numbers, calls all believers to listen and respond to God's command with reverence and obedience. The Shema proclaims the oneness of God, a central tenet in both Jewish and Messianic faiths.

The first line of this powerful prayer is inscribed on this candle:

"Shema Yisra'el, Adonai Eloheinu, Adonai Echad.
Hear, O Israel, the Lord is our God, the Lord is One."
